Glue-down and click ranges have different fitting and movement requirements, so we use the chosen product’s instructions rather than assume every floor can run continuously through every room.

Yes. We assess the existing floor and check the moisture, stability and surface condition relevant to your chosen covering. Existing tiles, floorboards and new screeds can need different preparation; we explain what is needed and include the agreed work in your quote. Repairs, smoothing or compatible moisture control may be appropriate, while a leak or structural problem needs addressing rather than simply covering over. You do not need to diagnose the base yourself—photographs help us start the conversation, and the assessment establishes the installation plan.

• How floor preparation works

We can talk through a room-by-room plan and how you will use the house during the work. Furniture, access routes and the rooms you need each day help us work out a practical sequence together. Preparation and adhesives may need time before walking on the floor or moving furniture back, and we explain those stages for the products used.
